Kitareka goes to School

Imagine a safe space within a school where its safe to express whatever you are feeling that day— a joy, a worry, an anger, a jealousy, a disappointment. All is accepted and respected, no correction is given and no expectations are imposed. Instead the child or the teenager is given paint, paper, brush and the attention to express and process those feelings so they transform rather than become suppressed. In this way children become emotionally healthy.

Kitareka Open Studio

Use the tools of paper, paint and brush to discover and grow yourself creatively. KitaReka is rooted in the values of courage, respect, curiosity, empathy and kindness for self and others.

Young and old, parents and children, teenagers and adults, we bring people together to see themselves as creative.  No skills needed. KitaReka supports emotional health and mental well-being by providing a creative outlet to express both positive and negative feelings, release stress, play, develop relationships and allow for positive feelings to emerge.

Kitareka goes to Work

Bringing our playful painting experience to the work setting where stressed out employees and employers can find a respite from the challenges of life. Adults who are often self-conscious of their art abilities are given permission to not be an artist instead are invited to be a child and just be playful. In doing so they find themselves letting go and relaxing and become engaged in creating for pleasure. As a result they begin to rediscover their creativity and find news perspective to bring back to work.
